Born and bred in Baltimore, Maryland. I’m a widow and mother of two and stepmother of four. My children reside in Baltimore. I have two siblings and a loving, amazing dad. I moved to South Florida in September 2015 after my children went off to college and the passing of my husband in 2011. I desired to begin a new chapter in my life.
My mother unexpectedly died in January 2016 from a heart attack, which was the beginning of a downward turn. Her uncle, her mother’s only brother, passed in May 2016 of pancreatic cancer. After turning 50 in June 2017, I received a diagnosis of Triple Negative Breast Cancer on July 7th, 2017.
I have a host of siblings on both sides who have had breast, stomach, pancreatic, and prostate cancer. Both of my maternal grandmothers had breast cancer. My father has been in remission from prostate cancer for five years now.
My life goal is to support women who have been diagnosed with this disease and to help others get through it financially provide a FREE mammogram, provide support and continue to raise awareness.
I have worked in HealthCare for over 20 Years in Medical Education. I am currently employed at Aventura Hospital and Medical Center as a Resident Program Coordinator in the Emergency Department in Miami, Florida.
